“With The Weight of Silence, I wanted to explore the delicate gravity of quiet moments—how stillness can feel heavy with memory, yet light with quiet hope. Rather than approaching silence as an empty void, the piece begins with a gentle backdrop of intimate piano, welcoming the expressive voices of violin and cello to lead the emotional dialogue.
As the layers build, each instrument speaks with patience, allowing the space between the notes to carry as much weight as the melodies themselves. I wanted the listener to feel the warmth of the intimate space, where every breath of the bow and resonance of the piano has room to linger and settle.
For me, silence has always been a place where thoughts become clearer and creativity can quietly flourish. The Weight of Silence is an invitation to lean into those quiet spaces we often rush to fill, finding comfort, solace, and a gentle sense of hope within the stillness.”
