The piano moves with restraint while the cello emerges like a distant echo, leaving generous space between phrases for silence, memory, and reflection. Rather than rushing toward resolution, the composition breathes in quiet contemplation, allowing each acoustic texture to resonate softly within the listener's inner landscape.

“Some thoughts arrive without warning. They surface for only a moment—too faint to hold, yet somehow leaving something behind after they disappear.
While composing Trace of a Thought, I wanted to capture that fragile movement between presence and absence. Rather than developing an idea toward a clear destination, I allowed the piano and cello to move around fragments: a phrase appearing, another answering from a distance, then silence.
For me, the piece is less about the thought itself than the trace it leaves behind—the quiet feeling that remains when something has already passed.”
