“With Dear Solitude, I wanted to explore solitude not as loneliness, but as a quiet space for clarity, reflection, and creation. Rather than opening with darkness or tension, the piece begins with ethereal strings that gently illuminate the landscape, creating a sense of openness and possibility.
As the strings settle, delicate layers of piano emerge, moving slowly through the space with minimal gestures and unhurried phrasing. I was drawn to the idea that silence itself could become part of the composition, allowing each note to breathe and resonate naturally.
For me, solitude has always been a place where thoughts become clearer and creativity can quietly flourish. Dear Solitude is an invitation to embrace those still moments, finding warmth, beauty, and inspiration within the spaces we often overlook.”
